July 2017 Newsletter

The band summer season is now in full swing, and we have been lucky to have had good weather for all our engagements so far. 

It was a very hot day when we entertained at the Rodborough Community Centre, and some of us got slightly sun-burnt playing at the Edge Village Fete, where (between pieces) we always enjoy the views of the surrounding hills! 

A good-sized audience came out on a pleasant Sunday afternoon to hear us play in the bandstand at Ross on Wye, which is in a lovely setting by the river.  We will have also played at the Stroud Country Show by the time you read this.

Our next engagement is by the Pump Room in Pittville Park, Cheltenham, on Sunday 13 August 14.30-16.30.  Meanwhile, our training band is looking forward to taking part in the musical soiree at Lakefield School.
