September Newsletter

The band has now finished the summer engagements, having done the last two jobs in very different bandstands.  The elegant Victorian bandstand in Montpellier Gardens, Cheltenham is the oldest one in the country still in regular use, and proved a good venue for a concert in the popular park.  The rather different wooden bandstand at Ross-on-Wye is in a scenic setting, just across the road from the river Wye.  Both concerts went well and the players enjoyed the chance to play in two well-attended Sunday afternoon events.

Our next engagement will be on Remembrance Sunday, and then it won’t be long until our Christmas Concert.
